Apple & Feijoa Crumble
Posted by
onThis is a fav in our house and feijoas are everywhere at the moment.
How
I am more of a freestyler when it comes to cooking so here is a brief outline of what I do but feel free to run with it and make it your own.
Fruit
Peel, core and slice apples. We have a spirally thingi which makes this really easy and ensure the boys help out.
Empty the feijoas into the pot – this works really well in the slow cooker as well if you need to be out and about.
Add cinnamon and whole cloves – the beauty of these fruits is that you don’t need any sugar.
Cook on a low heat until it mushes easily.
Crumble
- Quite a bit of softened butter or you can use coconut oil for a vegan version.
- Oats
- Maple Syrup
- Brown or raw sugar
- Flour
You can also add chocolate chips, buckinis, raisins, coconut or anything that tickles your fancy.
Bake until golden and serve with something creamy and yummy
